Mac Rowley Photo

I grew up in Clovis, New Mexico and have been photographing in the southwest since my early teens. I live in Lubbock, Texas where I am a plastic surgeon in private practice and teaching at Texas Tech Medical School. I have photographed extensively in this area as well as in foreign countries.

I am largely a self-taught photographer, but have attended many workshops with such well known photographers as Ansel Adams, Paul Caponigro, Linda Connor, Nevada Wier, Olivia Parker, Wright Morris, John Sexton, Bruce Barnbaum, David Allen Harvey and many others.

My early work was mainly large format landscape work. I still work in all formats, but have recently made a shift to digital. Most of my current work focuses on my fascination with people and street photography. This change in approach and equipment has produced much more informal work.
